Family Frenemies VIII

Previously: Elliot finally flew the coop and moved into a quaint Windenburg home with Madeline. Shortly after, Madeline discovered she was pregnant (that wedding night woohoo must have been lit), and their first child was a girl named Nadia. Meanwhile, Aisha made plans to settle down in Brindleton Bay and adopted another stray, Cashew, thereby cementing her future occupation as a crazy cat lady.

Aisha and her latest rescue cat, Cashew, have quickly become the best of friends.

Also, this is the first time I've had a male cat and a female cat in the household at the same time, and Cashew and King like each other enough to make babies. Let the breeding commence!

Yay! My first TS4 animal pregnancy! I'm so excited!

While Aisha was out exploring Brindleton Bay one night, she noticed a conspicuous congregation of ghost pets floating past. Where could they all be coming from?

She seeks out their source, until she chances upon a dapper fellow who appears to be their leader and something that looks suspiciously like a pet graveyard in the distance...

With the memory of Phoebe's death so fresh in her memory, the sight of so many graves fills her with a deep sense of sadness but also a strange serenity.

As a pet lover, she's deeply moved by each and every epitaph, which commemorate long-gone pets who were profoundly loved by their owners until the very end.

Some choice engravings she happened upon.

Before disappearing with the first rays of morning light, this ghost cat unleashed a chilling phantom meow.

After such an emotionally affecting experience, Aisha spends the early hours of the morning in deep reflection as she fishes in quiet solitude.

She may not have caught much of anything, but she was hypnotized by the eternal stretch of the never-ending sea.

Meanwhile, Madeline has the day off from work (I'm not sure I ever said what her career was, but she's an art critic), and the snow has finally melted in Windenburg, which means she gets a chance to properly take in her new home's surroundings. She starts with a nice warm cup of hot cocoa.

Then she meets up with her brother, Jason, next to this very imposing statue.

They catch up over a game of chess, in this gorgeous little shrubbery garden I didn't even realize was just across the street from their house until now.

Naturally, Madeline also has to take the opportunity to show off her ice-skating skills before winter's over for good and the rink disappears.

Stunning.

Absolutely stunning.

While she's out skating the day away, Elliot's bringing in the bacon with his art.

Lately, he's been burying himself in work and fatherhood to distract himself from the giant gaping hole left by his mother's death. Usually, Nadia's adorableness is enough to lift his mood.

But he occasionally still requires a good cry under the covers to get all his feelings out.

Ice cream helps a lot, too.

Then again, sometimes it just doesn't quite hit the spot.

Madeline: Google, please tell me how I can get my husband to stop crying.

Oh no! While her parents were distracted, Nadia escaped outside to have some fun in the snow. The poor girl doesn't even have any mittens on! Someone get her inside immediately!

If you can't tell, she likes throwing things around a lot. But she looks so charming while she's doing it, her parents find it impossible to properly discipline her.

Anyway, remember that exciting cat pregnancy from earlier? Well, it's resulted in the most adorably fluffy little kitten named Nutmeg!

Aisha is already impossibly in love with the newest addition to her feline family.

In case you thought she'd entirely abandoned human communication, she just needed a few days to recalibrate before returning to the unpredictable world of romance. As you can see, though, she had no problem picking right back up where she left off. She and Shawn are finally sharing their first (non-mistletoe) kiss!

There's truly no better way to fan the romantic flames than building snowpals together!

This is so scenic but also slightly terrifying. They probably shouldn't really be hanging out on the edge of a rocky cliff in this weather, but at least it makes for some beautiful photos.

Oh my gosh, they made twin punk snowpals! These two are totally a match made in heaven!

Adorable side-by-side snow angels, I cannot!

Afterward, they relocate indoors for the next stage of their flirtation because they'd rather not freeze to death just as they're sealing their romantic bond. (Also, you may have noticed I took the liberty of giving Shawn a dye job because the unnatural blue just wasn't doing it for me.)

Aisha: This might sound crazy, but just hear me out, okay? I'm about to buy this totally amazing house and fill it with more cats than you can even count! Will you move in with me so we can be the cutest cat couple in history?!?

Wild guess here, but I think that might be a yes.

Lighthouse woohoo is the most epic kind of woohoo, especially since it's their first time!

Aisha: All right, lean in for our post-woohoo selfie! #CoupleGoals #LighthouseLovemakin #FeelinTheFelineFever
